Role Overview:
As the Senior Manager- Distributor Sales at Volt Money, you will be responsible for building and scaling our distributor network across India. Your primary goal will be to develop and execute strategic partnerships with mutual fund distributors to expand our loan against mutual funds business. You will lead and manage a high- performing sales team, driving both input and output metrics to achieve business objectives. This role requires strong team leadership skills, the ability to establish and maintain accountability systems, and expertise in managing performance through clearly defined metrics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
- Design and implement comprehensive distributor acquisition and engagement strategies
- Create systematic approaches to identify, target, and onboard high- potential mutual fund distributors
- Develop scalable processes for distributor relationship management and business growth
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual business targets through data- driven planning
2. Sales Leadership and Network Development
- Build and lead a high- performing distributor sales team
- Establish strong relationships with key mutual fund distributors and maintain regular engagement
- Create and execute training programs for distributors to effectively position Volt Money's products
- Drive distributor activation and business growth through targeted initiatives
3. Team Management and Performance
- Build, lead, and mentor a high- performing distributor sales team
- Establish clear KPIs and accountability systems for team members
- Drive performance through rigorous tracking of both input metrics (calls, meetings,whatsapp) and output metrics (conversions,AUM, activation rates)
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Implement performance improvement plans when necessary
- Create and maintain a high- performance culture with clear expectations and rewards
- Develop training programs to enhance team capabilities and performance
- Hold regular team meetings to review metrics, share best practices, and address challenges
4. Analytics and Performance Management
- Conduct detailed cohort analysis to identify successful distributor patterns and growth opportunities
- Use data analytics to track distributor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Create and maintain comprehensive sales reports and forecasts
- Implement data- driven decision- making processes for territory planning and resource allocation
5. Program Management
- Design and manage distributor incentive programs
- Develop and optimize onboarding processes for new distributors
- Create and maintain sales enablement tools and materials
- Establish performance metrics and tracking systems
6. Process Optimization
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions
- Streamline distributor onboarding and engagement processes
- Develop scalable systems for managing distributor relationships
- Create feedback loops for continuous improvement
7. Key Impact Targets
- Business Volume: Achieve targeted loan disbursement through distributor channel
- Distributor Activation: Maintain high engagement rates among onboarded distributors
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed defined KPIs for network growth and business generation
- Team Performance: Achieve target input and output metrics across the sales team
Qualifications:
1. Post- graduate in any discipline
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales leadership or program management roles
3. Experience in mutual fund distributor sales or AMC (Asset Management Company) strongly preferred
4. Proven track record of building, managing, and scaling successful sales teams
5. Demonstrated ability to drive team performance through metric- based management
6. Experience in setting and managing both input and output KPIs
7. Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel and data analysis
8. Demonstrated ability to conduct cohort analysis and derive actionable insights
9. Experience in creating and implementing systematic sales processes
10. Excellence in problem- solving and strategic thinking
11. Strong team management skills with ability to motivate and hold team accountable
12. Experience in performance management and team development
