Role Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Accounting Leader to oversee our accounting team in India, maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations at Volante Technologies, implement process efficiencies, and collaborate with the global accounting team and other cross-functional groups.
- As a Head of Accounting, you will oversee the organisation's financial health.
- Your expertise in India statutory requirements, US GAAP, fiscal analysis, reporting and management will help drive sound decision-making and help the company achieve its strategic objectives.
- As a vital team member, you will be critical in interpreting financial data, providing insights to support decision-making and implementing strategies to optimise economic performance while minimising tax liabilities.
- You will be a leader within the organization that trains and develops junior team members and provides effective feedback.

Objectives of this role:
- Managing and maintaining financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Reviewing financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Performing financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
- Preparing and reviewing annual/quarterly budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
- Preparing and filing monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns and liaising with local authorities when required.
- Developing and implementing economic policies and procedures in the company and optimizing any inefficiencies.
- Conducting regular audits and reviews of financial records and processes.
- Providing timely financial information to support decision-making processes.
- Building and developing an effective team to execute all required tasks.
- Contributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organisation.
Your tasks:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a track record of success.
- Prepare and present statements, such as balance sheets, income and cash flow for internal reporting and external filing requirements and liaise with any auditors regarding such statements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities efficiently and ensure the team is implementing sound financial policies/controls and process improvements to close the books in fewer days.
