Job Title: Logistics Head

Department: Logistics

Reports to: Factory Head

Experience Required:

- 10 + Years in handling PAN India Distribution, Logistics, Warehouse / Cold Room management preferably with the Ice Cream industry, Must have working knowledge of Supply Chain models,

Cold Chain Operations, Logistics and Warehouse management

Qualifications:

- Minimum Required Degree: Graduate preferably BE/ BSc.

- Professional Qualification: Post Graduation / MBA preferably in Operations or Supply Chain Management

Job Purpose:

- Planning & execution of local & export distribution of orders of ice creams. Manage all stocks in all cold rooms & warehouse as per requirements and be responsible for all SKUs stock availability at all times. Resolution of all issues relating to distribution, stock, vehicle and cold room.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Planning & execution of local & export distribution of orders of ice creams.

- Responsible to maintain department cost as per budget.

- New initiatives and suggestions for cost effective transportation PAN India.

- Responsible to meet the cold storage & warehouse requirements of the business and to manage costs of the existing facilities.

- Streamline Secondary Distribution, finalization of Route Plan & to reduce secondary freight cost.

Forecasting:

- Set up the Forecast process - working in conjunction with production, purchase, marketing and sales to develop forecasting process and improve forecast accuracy

- Develop and manage the SoPs for order acceptance and forecast consumption

Supply Chain:

- Set up and manage the Company's Supply Chain strategy

- Coordinating with the Production & Purchase Departments to ensure availability of all SKUs as per forecasts.

- Management of local & export distribution of ice creams as per forecasts & demand planning.

- Managing the delivery of products from multiple manufacturers/suppliers to multiple geographical locations within India and SAARC nations, in the timely and cost effective manner.

- Distribution Network Optimization/ Route Planning - evaluate & establish efficient distribution infrastructure and distribution network for existing and upcoming stores at the necessary locations

- Manage and control all outbound activities

- Coordinate orders and shipments and ensure proper and timely deliveries of direct shipments to customers

- Distributors Visit, Audits, Cold Chain Integrity, to resolve supply issues, if any, discuss with other channel heads to smoothen the ordering system for effective supplies, which helps in vehicle utilization

Dispatch and Cold room (Inventory Management):

- In coordination with production & purchase, responsible to ensure availability of all SKUs for sales at all times and ensure to minimize any loss of sale due to non-availability of the required products.

- Monitoring & Minimizing OOS levels in coordination with Purchase, Production and Sales Department.

- Managing the storage in the cold room & the warehouse during off season to optimize costs.

- Managing export transport & shipments using cost effective methods.

- Responsible for overall cold room efficiency, Product condition in Cold rooms & Warehouse

- Responsible to ensure the minimum shipping temperature of Finished Goods for local & export deliveries

- Evaluation and advice on improving Logistics infrastructure.

Sales Logistics:

- Supervision of all local, export & 3rd party orders, promotion co-packing and customer care & maintain good relationship with all Distributors.

- Closely monitoring the progress of the production of all orders, documentation, availability of reefer containers etc for timely dispatch of goods and to avoid deadlock due to any issue.

- Organize and support the team for the delivery of consignments on time.

General:

- Maintaining accurate database and records of Product Prices, Dealer information, Product information, etc and to provide to the sales managers

- Responsible for improving / upgrading the functioning of the Logistics department on a continuous basis by benchmarking with Industry Standards
