We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Business/ Operations Analyst. Reporting to the Associate Director - Process Excellence, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Process Excellence team in India Centre of Excellence (CoE) and it's growth.
Purpose of Role :
This role leads and executes KYC and Screening process improvement projects, identifying areas for enhancement, streamlining processes, workflows, and eliminating waste, as well as responding to changes coming from external sources (i.e. regulatory, policy or procedural change).
Leveraging Lean principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the KYC and Screening processes operate at their highest potential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the end-to-end project activities in relation to KYC and Screening initiatives.
This includes :
- Collaborate with Commercial, Compliance and Operations to build a process inventory (current and target state).
- Work with operations to identify opportunities to migrate & embed processes & roles to Global Service Centre.
- Plan and implement process improvement and policy change projects through business process reengineering, reinforce controls and establish a roadmap for longer term initiatives.
- Lead & facilitate process mapping workshops with Commercial, Compliance and Operations to capture As Is processes, identify bottlenecks, and design streamlined processes.
- Drive & facilitate end-to-end process redesign and performance improvement through the identification and elimination of non-value-added activities.
- Document & align processes in line with regulatory requirements, process governance & framework.
- Drive fact base analysis to identify insights on Commercial priorities, wasted efforts and opportunities for process efficiency.
- Work with relevant teams to determine how new technologies can support reengineering operational processes.
- Design and implement process measurement tools to track and report on the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Identify and facilitate quick win initiatives to drive benefits realization, such as leading the migration of activities to Global Service Centre.
- Partner closely with operational owners and key functional stakeholders to implement approved standardized processes and maximize efficiencies.
- Ensure all process documentation are aligned with quality standards.
- Monitor information and trends to ensure process performance are achieving results and that services meet service levels.
- Identify issues/risks and participate in problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource plans.
- Identify risks, issues, dependencies and manage resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct project meetings and produce outputs.
- Manage project execution proactively and take ownership of project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to process framework, governance and project management standards and templates.
- Serve as a change agent and contribute to the continuous improvement culture.
- Determine continuous improvement projects to pursue based upon organisational objectives and projected benefits.

Attributes/Technical Skills :
Essential :
- 5+ years of work experience in a Project Management/Business Analyst capacity on Client Lifecycle related projects.
- Domain/SME knowledge of Client Due Diligence (KYC) and Screening requirements and processes is essential.
- Proven experience working with Screening solution vendors, including the optimisation of screening results using a risk based approach.
- Strong experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g. , Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen), continuous improvement and business process reengineering.
- Experienced in change and improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design and implementation.
- Able to overcome adversity/resistance to change and influence others to drive the highest results.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
- Very good team player with distinctive communication skills and high interpersonal competence, high motivation, and positive work attitude.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across various functions in the organisation.
- Capability to proactively figure out next steps and break through stalemate situations.
- Highly organized, attention to detail, excellent follow through skills and ability to work independently and motivate a team.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in written and oral English.
Computer Skills :
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Process Excellence tools, Process mapping software.
Desirable :
- Ability to manage change sensitively and in a collaborative manner.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively liaising between teams and ensuring comprehensive understanding across departments and working closely with senior stakeholders across Vistra, both on and offshore.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge of change management controls operating within a multinational financial services group.
- Self-driven and highly motivated individual, solution oriented and able to work independently.
- Highly organized, excellent follow through skills and ability to motivate a team.

Education and Professional Qualification :
Essential :
- Postgraduate in Management/Business Analytics.
- Project Management degree/diploma/certification (e.g. , PMP, PRINCE2).
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
