Security Engineer - CIAM Solutions (10-15 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Security Engineer specializing in Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) to join our team.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure CIAM solutions to protect customer identities, ensure seamless authentication experiences, and safeguard sensitive data.

You will also contribute to the development of our IAM strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage CIAM solutions to secure customer identities and access across digital platforms.

- Develop and enforce policies for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.

- Serve as a subject matter expert contributing to the development of IAM strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.

- Collaborate with various business areas to evaluate IAM strategies, improve security posture, and ensure compliance with data protection laws.

- Plan, develop, implement, and maintain a digital identity program that satisfies compliance and contractual requirements.

- Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of identity and access solutions, including onboarding, offboarding, user provisioning, and multi-factor authentication.

- Define access control protocols and establish role-based access control mechanisms to maintain a strategy of least privilege.

- Monitor and analyse CIAM systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized access.

- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing of CIAM systems.

- Manage processes for recertification of user access and develop metrics to report on the efficacy of access controls.

- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on CIAM best practices.

- Develop and maintain key vendor and partner relationships to support the identity program.

- Stay up to date with emerging CIAM technologies, trends, and security threats.

- Assist and coordinate cross-functional work with other internal business units.

- Troubleshoot and resolve CIAM-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

Required :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.

- 10+ years of applicable experience in identity and access management (IAM), with a focus on CIAM.

- Background in all aspects of IAM, including PAM and Secrets Management.

- Hands-on experience with CIAM platforms such as Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, Microsoft Azure AD, or equivalent.

- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Kerberos, etc.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their IAM services.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a client service orientation.

- Ability to prioritize, plan, and take initiative in a self-motivated manner.

Preferred :

- Knowledge of NIST and CIS practices and frameworks is preferred.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

- Programming/scripting skills (e.g, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) preferred.
