Product and Tech Manager

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Expert who can take complete ownership of our Shopify store management, optimization, and functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of Shopifys ecosystem, custom development, integrations, and e-commerce best practices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and managing high-converting Shopify stores, troubleshooting issues, integrating third-party apps, and improving site performance.

Role Overview

As the Shopify Expert, you will be responsible for:

• End-to-end management of the Shopify store, ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience.
• Customizing Shopify themes, templates, and functionalities to align with business goals.
• Integrating, managing, and optimizing third-party apps to enhance store performance.
• Monitoring and improving store speed, SEO, and conversion rates.
• Collaborating with the marketing, creative, and product teams to enhance user experience.

This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, performance, and scalability of our e-commerce store.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shopify Store Setup, Management & Optimization

• Ensure the Shopify store is fully optimized for performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness.
• Customize themes & templates to improve UI/UX and ensure brand consistency.
• Monitor & fix technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Ensure all product pages, collections, and navigation structures are optimized for a seamless user experience.

2. Shopify Development & Customization

• Develop and modify Shopify themes and templates using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Customize checkout processes, cart functionalities, and customer flows for better conversions.
• Integrate and manage Shopify apps (Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, Judge.me, etc.).
• Ensure seamless third-party API integrations, including payment gateways and fulfillment systems.

3. Performance Optimization & SEO

• Monitor and improve store speed, performance, and user experience.
• Ensure all pages are mobile-friendly and optimized for conversions.
• Implement structured data, schema markup, and SEO best practices for higher organic visibility.
• Use tools like Google Analytics, GTmetrix, and Lighthouse to track and optimize performance.

4. E-commerce Integrations & Automation

• Set up and manage integrations with payment gateways, shipping partners, and CRM systems.
• Ensure smooth API connections with marketing tools (Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, etc.).
• Automate workflows for customer emails, abandoned cart recovery, and order processing.

5. Security, Compliance & Troubleshooting

• Ensure Shopify store security, SSL certification, and GDPR compliance.
• Regularly update Shopify themes, plugins, and apps to avoid compatibility issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, app conflicts, and performance issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience managing Shopify stores and custom development.
• Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
• Experience in Shopify app integrations (Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, Judge.me, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Shopify APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
• SEO and performance optimization expertise.
• Experience in Shopify Plus (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to troubleshoot Shopify issues quickly and efficiently.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with e-commerce KPIs.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
