Key skills for the job
Work on Cisco, Juniper and multiple OEM devices
Resolve day to day issues reported
Work on different OEM (Cisco switches/routers/firewalls, Juniper switches/routers/firewalls, Fortinet firewalls)
Analyse voice and recording packets while clients report an issue and provide fix
Co-ordinate with different internal support/design teams and Customers team to have conclusion
Suggest design recommendations w.r.t Network
Resolve issues on quick basis with no/less supervision
Handle high severity cases and critical issues
Manage escalations
Should be ready to work on extended and rotational shift
Must carry strong switching, routing and security skills. Need to be strong in RSTP, BGP, OSPF protocols and must have worked multiple OEM (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet)firewalls. Understand voice and recording traffic flow during issue time to provide recommendations towards successful closure. Need to have thorough understanding on DHCP, packet captures tools like Wireshark and must have worked on critical network architecture setup
