Role Overview:
As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud and data platform. You will manage infrastructure, oversee data pipeline integrations, and ensure the reliability and security of our platform. You will work with technologies like Snowflake, Fivetran, Apache Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as NewRelic and SPlunk.

Key Responsibilities:
Platform Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, S3, and Kubernetes to ensure scalability and performance.
Data Integration & Pipelines: Lead integration efforts with tools like Snowflake, Fivetran, and Apache Kafka, ensuring smooth and efficient data processing pipelines.
Observability & Monitoring: Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems with NewRelic, SPlunk, and Monte Carlo to track platform health and optimize performance.
Security & Access Control: Ensure secure access to services and platforms using OAuth 2.0, PrivateLink, and other security best practices.
Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, work cross-functionally with data teams, product teams, and cloud architects to ensure seamless integration and reliability.
Platform Optimization: Identify opportunities for improvement in platform performance, security, and cost-efficiency, implementing best practices across infrastructure and application layers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles.
Extensive experience with AWS, S3, Kubernetes, and cloud-based infrastructure management.
Deep knowledge of data platforms and integration tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, and Apache Kafka.
Expertise in monitoring and observability tools like NewRelic, Splunk, and Monte Carlo.
Strong understanding of security best practices, including OAuth 2.0, PrivateLink, and securing cloud environments.
Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for optimizing large-scale systems.
