Network Engineer

Network Design & Configuration
Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network solutions. .

Configure, install, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. .

Support network capacity planning and design for scalability and performance optimization. .

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor network performance and availability using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG. .

Identify and resolve network issues including latency, connectivity, and performance problems. .

Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. .

Security
Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and VPN configurations to safeguard against unauthorized access. .

Collaborate with the security team to address network vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents. .

Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, designs, and changes. .

Provide regular updates on network performance, incidents, and troubleshooting efforts. .

Collaboration & Support
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with applications and databases. .

Provide second and third-tier support for network-related issues. .

Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations. .

Project Management
Assist with network-related projects including upgrades, deployments, and migrations. .

Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet performance requirements. .


Required Qualifications
Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or related field. .

Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, etc.

). .

Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.

). .

Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.

g.

, SolarWinds, Wireshark). .

Familiarity with network security practices (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems). .

Solid understanding of wireless networking, QoS, and network segmentation. .

Certifications (preferred but not required)
CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant certifications. .

CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are also a plus. .

Soft Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. .

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. .

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
