Job Description:

- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President of Operations for Secured and Unsecured Lending.

- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lending operations, including strategy development, risk management, product innovation, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans for secured and unsecured lending operations, aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.

- Responsible for the strategic planning of the business unit, including drafting annual budgets, strategic objectives, and goals.

- Product Innovation: Identify opportunities for new lending products and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market.

- Oversee all digital technology infusion to enhance turnaround times (TAT) and operational efficiency.

- Risk Management: Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks to ensure the quality of the loan portfolio, including credit risk assessment, collateral valuation, and monitoring of key risk indicators.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

- Operational Efficiency: Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.

- Manage operating unit profitability according to the business plan, controlling branches' operating costs within budget to maintain cost control.

- Aim for early break-even of all operating units and manage operating expenses (OPEX) as per the business plan.

- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of lending professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Drive field productivity and collection efficiency above industry standards.

- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including borrowers, partners, regulators, and internal teams, to support the growth and success of lending operations.

- Independently coordinate with client teams, rating agencies, and peers in other banks/financial institutions to manage relationships.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of lending operations and provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.

- Portfolio Management: Responsible for new client identification, managing existing client portfolios, internal presentations, portfolio monitoring, and MIS to achieve overall departmental targets.

- Maintain portfolio quality within budgeted levels.

- Loan Disbursement & Documentation: Oversee loan disbursement and documentation functions, including liaison with legal, compliance, and other teams.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

- Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.

- Experience 7-10 years in secured and unsecured lending, with a track record of success in senior roles.

Skills:

- Deep understanding of lending products, processes, and regulations.

- Expertise in credit risk management and underwriting.

- Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
