Chartered Accountant

Roles and Responsibilities:

Audit & Compliance:

● Lead internal and statutory audits by preparing documentation and resolving audit queries efficiently.

● Ensure adherence to financial controls and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

● Assist with external due diligences, providing accurate data and addressing any issues that arise.

Month-End Closing:

● Oversee accurate and timely month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, schedule preparation and correct provisions & calculations.

● Review account reconciliations and roll-forwards prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and completeness.

● Ensure timely preparation and submission of all month-end financial reporting & MIS.

● Tax & payroll compliances (TDS, GST & PF, ESI, LWF):

● Ensure timely and accurate filing of TDS and GST returns.

● Manage tax assessments and audits for TDS and GST, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

● Oversee compliance with Labour-related regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).

● Stay abreast of changes in tax laws (direct, indirect, and international taxation) and ensure the companys compliance.

● Provide expertise in structuring transactions to align with applicable tax laws.

Process Improvement:

● Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements, focusing on simplification, standardization, and optimization of financial operations.

● Support the implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

● Chartered Accountant (CA) with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

● In-depth knowledge of TDS, GST and other Indian taxation laws

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

● Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of Excel and analytical tools (eg. Power BI).

● Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.

● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or collaboratively as the situation requires.

● Proficiency in Zoho Books will be an added plus

● Preferably worked previously in a product-led organization and have contributed in building/designing the system and/or workflows.
