Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance and Advisory:

1. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
2. Conduct thorough GST reconciliations and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Provide expert advice on GST implications for various business transactions and initiatives.
4. Stay abreast of changes in GST laws and update internal stakeholders accordingly.

Direct Tax Planning and Compliance:

1. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize the company's direct tax position.
2. Ensure compliance with all direct tax regulations, including the Income Tax Act.
3. Prepare and file income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other direct tax filings.
4. Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions and transactions.

Audits and Assessments:

1. Manage GST and direct tax audits, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and submitted accurately.
2. Liaise with tax authorities during assessments and resolve any queries or concerns.
3. Implement corrective actions based on audit recommendations to enhance compliance.

Advisory and Consultation:

1. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on GST and direct tax matters.
2. Provide training and guidance to finance and business teams to ensure awareness and compliance.
3. Conduct internal reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Compliance Monitoring:

1. Establish robust systems for monitoring GST and direct tax compliance across the organization.
2. Conduct periodic internal audits to assess compliance levels and address any non-compliance issues.
3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all relevant tax-related documents.
