Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, testing, and optimization of textiles used in our product lines. You will work closely with the design and production teams to ensure that our fabrics meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabric Development: Collaborate with design teams to develop new textile concepts that align with brand aesthetics and performance requirements.
Material Testing: Conduct tests on various fabrics to assess their properties, including durability, comfort, and environmental impact. Analyze results and recommend improvements.
Quality Assurance: Establish and implement quality control processes for textile production, ensuring that all materials meet industry standards and specifications.
Sustainability Practices: Research and recommend sustainable textile options and production methods that minimize environmental impact.
Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to develop and source innovative textiles. Maintain strong relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to production teams, addressing any issues related to textile performance or production processes.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in textile technology, and competitor products to inform sourcing and development strategies.
Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in textile development or engineering within the fashion industry.
Strong understanding of fabric properties, production processes, and testing methodologies.
Knowledge of sustainable textile practices and materials is a plus.
