Job Description
The role of Azure PaaS (Platform as a Service) is crucial in our organizations cloud infrastructure management. The individual in this position will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Azure PaaS solutions to meet our organizations business needs. They will play a key role in driving the adoption of cloud-based technologies and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our Azure PaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and manage Azure PaaS solutions such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on utilizing Azure PaaS services effectively.
- Implement automation and DevOps practices to streamline the deployment and management of Azure PaaS resources.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure PaaS services to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies in the Azure PaaS environment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Azure PaaS services.
- Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Azure PaaS.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure PaaS features and recommend their adoption based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure PaaS solutions with existing systems.
- Document design, implementation, and operational procedures related to Azure PaaS solutions.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure certification such as AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Azure PaaS solutions in a production environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automating Azure PaaS deployments and management.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience in implementing DevOps practices in Azure PaaS environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure security, identity, and access management concepts.
- Experience in optimizing and troubleshooting the performance of Azure PaaS services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of cloud-native application architecture and best practices.
