Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Experience Required: 6+years

Job Summary:

The Head of Department (HOD) - Academics will be responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the academic activities within the institution. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of curriculum execution, teaching methodologies, hiring faculities, coordinating fest(s) and clubs /committees and student assessment processes. The HOD will work collaboratively with faculty members, administrative teams, and school leadership to ensure the academic integrity and success of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Leadership:
   
• Lead the academic department in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and instructional practices.
• Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and best practices in education.
2. Curriculum Development & Implementation:
   
• Oversee the design,execution, and periodic review of the students and faculty outcome to ensure alignment with educational standards and the institution's vision.
• Ensure the effective execution of the curriculum by coordinating with professors, batch coordinators, and other academic and non-academic staff.
3. Faculty Management:
   
• Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development opportunities for faculty members.
• Facilitate regular academic meetings to discuss teaching strategies, assessment results, and pedagogical improvements.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to academic staff.
4. Student Assessment & Performance Monitoring:
   
• Oversee the development and implementation of assessment methods, ensuring they align with the curriculum and measure student learning outcomes.
• Analyze academic performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Address student academic concerns and collaborate with teachers to implement support strategies.
• Initiating management fest(s)/management games/industrial visits once a month.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
   
• Act as a liaison between faculty, administrative staff, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of academic goals with the overall institutional objectives.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other stakeholders regarding academic matters.
• Represent the academic department in meetings, school events, and external forums as necessary .
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Masters degree or higher in Education/Management, Academic Leadership, or a relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within an academic institution. Central armed forces personnel can also apply.
• Proven track record of curriculum execution, faculty management, and student academic performance.
• Experience in using data to drive academic decision-making and improvements.
