Land Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

A Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land boundaries, preparing site plans, and ensuring construction projects comply with legal and design specifications. They use specialized equipment, including GPS, GIS, and total stations, to collect data and provide accurate land measurements for engineering, construction, and real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys and prepare site plans, maps, and reports.
• Measure distances, angles, and elevations using surveying equipment.
• Verify and establish property boundaries and land ownership records.
• Interpret and analyze survey data for construction and engineering projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and zoning regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records and documentation.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and GIS tools for mapping and analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on land development and site preparation.
