Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:
- Lead the development of business strategies to grow revenue, entering new markets, and ensuring long-term business sustainability.
- Conduct thorough market research and analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to drive informed decision-making and identify business opportunities.
- Monitor market dynamics and adjust business development strategies accordingly to remain competitive.
Lead Generation & Sales Pipeline Management:
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, focusing on identifying, qualifying, and targeting high-potential clients.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and other lead-generation strategies.
- Create and implement detailed action plans for lead nurturing and follow-up, ensuring consistent progress through the sales cycle.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering trust-based partnerships.
- Manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, ensuring client needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.
- Conduct regular client meetings to understand evolving needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Handle escalations and resolve issues to ensure long-term success and client satisfaction.
Sales Presentations & Proposal Development:
- Lead the creation and delivery of sales presentations, demonstrating the value proposition and aligning solutions with client objectives.
- Prepare and present customized proposals and contracts, negotiating terms and closing deals in line with business objectives.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure accurate proposal development and service delivery expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing, product, and sales operations teams to align business development strategies with marketing campaigns, product innovations, and sales objectives.
- Coordinate with customer support and delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact through post-sale implementation.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of junior business development professionals, providing coaching and guidance to foster growth and productivity.
- Ensure the team's alignment with sales goals, track progress, and motivate members to achieve individual and team targets.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new business development talent to strengthen the team.
Performance Reporting & Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline forecasts.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and business development outcomes to senior leadership.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, growth opportunities, and market expansion.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with complementary businesses or organizations to extend market reach and create mutually beneficial opportunities.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company's services and form alliances with potential partners.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 4+ years of business development experience, ideally in the IT, software, web hosting, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record in managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing high-value deals and managing client relationships.
- Experience in building and executing strategic sales plans to meet business goals and grow revenue.
Skills:
- Strong ability to develop and execute business development strategies that align with company goals and drive growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools to manage leads and track progress.
- Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain long-term, successful relationships at all levels within an organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market data and business performance to identify areas of improvement.
Leadership & Teamwork:

Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with web hosting, IT services, and software solutions is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS, enterprise solutions, and digital transformation trends.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
