As a Tech Lead in a Platform Engineering team, you will build platform features for Verizon routers, gateways, and extenders. You will be leading a team of size 3 to 6 software developers and responsible for end-to-end delivery of Verizon Router platform core components. You will be playing a key role in the SDLC process while working with stakeholders like business PoCs, Device Technology Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, quality engineers, and Solution Architects.

• Working with a team of engineers, and partners like QA, SME, and Architect for router platform deliverables.
• Mentoring and coaching team members.
• Investigating customer problems referred to by the technical support team.
• Handling technical communications with Partners to understand clients' systems or APIs.
• Implementing router platform requirements.
• Setting up, maintaining, and operating test automation frameworks.
• Developing features that adhere to PRPL Foundation standards.
• Improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.

What were looking for...

• Bachelors degree with four or more years of work experience.
• Experience in leading/managing a team.
• Experience in Router platform development.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills along with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Multi-Threading/Core primitives, and programming
• Experience in developing software for Embedded Linux platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux IPC mechanisms like ubus and D-bus
• Experience in WiFi standards 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, WPA2, WPA3, WMM
• Knowledge of Linux build tools (e.g. GCC, Make, CMake, Shell Scripts, etc.)
• Knowledge of build and package management systems like OpenWrt, Buildroot, Yocto Project, etc.
• Knowledge of Linux Bootloaders, Flash partitions, BSPs, and device drivers and their configuration.
• Knowledge of implementation of security features like PKCS #11
• Experience in working with large open-source software projects.

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe teams.
• Experience in networking protocols like IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, ARP, STP, IGMP, DSCP, VLAN, UPnP, SSDP, MLDv2, TCP, and UDP.
• Experience in Ethernet and MoCA driver integration.
• Experience in the prplOS router platform development.
• Knowledge of TR069/TR369 remote management protocols
• Knowledge of IP Tables and Deep Packet Inspection
