Job Description
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) systems, ensuring compliance with IEEE standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Automate test scenarios using relevant tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, or proprietary tools).
- Perform system, functional, performance, and regression testing of WLAN features, such as roaming, QoS, security (WPA2/WPA3), etc.
- Troubleshoot and debug WLAN issues, documenting and reporting bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, network, and hardware teams, to understand and improve product quality.
- Ensure test coverage through manual and automated testing approaches, optimizing test plans as needed.
- Analyze test results, monitor performance, and generate comprehensive test reports for stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in WLAN technologies and automation tools.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in WLAN testing and automation.
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in automation tools like Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, or custom test automation tools.
- WLAN Protocols: In-depth understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Wi-Fi Alliance certifications.
- Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and standards (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, QoS, etc.).
- Tools & Platforms: Experience with Wi-Fi sniffing tools (Wireshark, Omnipeek), traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), and wireless routers/access points.
- Operating Systems: Comfortable with Linux, Windows, and Android platforms for testing.
- Scripting: Strong scripting skills for automating tests and workflows (Python, Shell scripting).
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Experience with debugging WLAN issues, root cause analysis, and log analysis.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD (Jenkins), and bug-tracking tools (JIRA).
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
