Sr Manager - Business Intelligence

What you'll be doing

Creating a single source of truth for business performance and diagnostics to enable faster and frictionless flow of information. Manage a team that provide analysis, reporting and insights to be utilized by the business to make decisions and actions.

Responsibilities include the gathering of data from multiple sources , creating reports on a regular basis, correcting code issues, and ensuring that dashboards and databases remain error-free and organized.

Designing and managing activities that allow the company to continue delivering value. These activities typically consist of managing the operations process, inspecting for quality, and maintaining and transporting materials.

Responsible for developing tools and/or analyses used to interpret large volumes of transactional or other forms of data.

• Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-related, or process-related topics.
• Analyzing information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Consulting with and advises stakeholders and senior leaders on insights, trends, and data-driven solutions.
• Collecting business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
• Leveraging knowledge of relational databases, applying business process/data modeling, database design, and other analytical tools for business and research.
• Staying up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to the job.
• Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
• Translating or explains what information means and how it can be used.
• Being accountable for the effective leadership of others, including properly leveraging Verizon's eight V-Team Principles (e.g., business leadership, people leadership, self-leadership).
• Making recommendations regarding the change of status of team members. Assess employee performance, hold employees accountable, take appropriate corrective actions, and train and provide ongoing direction and feedback to team members.

You are a strong collaborator who can effectively own and prioritize multiple work streams as well as to adapt during sometimes pressured situations. You display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals, but are also comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to partner across multiple business and technology teams. You should have strong Business Intelligence and analytics experience in CX (Customer Experience) area / root cause analytics with attention to detail, adaptable to change and tight deadlines, and is focused on quality. Ability to mine, extract, transform, load large data sets and create concise readouts and analysis based on the actionable insights found in the data.

Where you'll be working...
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, GCP, Teradata & Big query.
• Experience with Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker, Kibana & Grafana.
• Experience with data modelling for different data sources in Tableau or Qlik Sense.
• Knowledge of Google Suite and database management systems.
• Experience with dashboard creation with insightful visualisation.
• Ability to derive insights from data and recommend action.
• Knowledge of OneJira or any ticketing tool.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with any third-party reporting tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot).
• Basic knowledge programming languages (e.g., VBA/Python).
• Basic knowledge of Google App Script.
