Assistant Manager Ecommerce

Role & responsibilities :

The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets through the online platform, managing product listings, and ensuring a seamless and efficient ecommerce operation. This role involves data management, continuous market research, and collaboration across various teams to enhance customer experience and boost revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Sales Strategy

• Accountable for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual ecommerce sales targets within set budgets and Management Information System (MIS) guidelines.
• Manage product listings, pricing strategies, content, and image implementation, as well as vendor relationships.
• Capture, attribute, and structure data to create product content for the ecommerce platform and ensure accurate data uploads.
• Continuously develop competencies in market research, product launches, marketing communications (including advertising and promotion), sales management, distribution channel management, and customer service.
• Stay updated on new developments in the ecommerce sector and research the company's core demographics to enhance reach and engagement.

Budget Planning (Marketing and Sales)

• Plan and allocate the budget for marketing and sales, ensuring resources are used efficiently.

Customer Engagement and Sales Pipeline

• Suspect: Capture the Voice of Customer (VOC) to develop appropriate products tailored to customer needs.
• Prospect: Monitor daily sales and order register MIS, conducting quarterly and monthly reviews with the team. Ensure product availability and maintain distribution costs at acceptable levels.
• Approach-Negotiate: Define and adjust pricing strategies for various ecommerce portals in comparison to competitors. Drive pricing decisions in collaboration with the SNM approval process.
• Closure: Coordinate between sales, marketing, and other operational functions to fulfill consumer product requirements.
• Order: Monitor MIS for geographical and product-wise sales on a weekly and monthly basis.

Personnel Management

• Provide insights on market intelligence and competitive pricing.

Physical Evidence

• Capturing sales info in internal ERP system on daily basis.
• Customer payment adjustment in internal ERP
• Effectively managing stock and ensuring no product code is out of stock.
• Manage both physical and digital premises to reassure customers and address any uncertainties, enhancing trust and reliability across office, factory premises, marketing collateral, corporate website, and social media channels.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ecommerce management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and ecommerce platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership ability.
