SAP ABAP Developer - Implementation & Support (3-7 yrs)

ABAP Development :

- Develop and enhance ABAP reports, including Classical Reports, ALV Reports (using OOPS principles), and Interactive Reports.

- Design and implement Dynpro Screens, including screen error handling, program interface, GUI title, GUI status, subscreen management, tabstrip controls, table controls, context menus, and splitter control.

- Create and manage ABAP Dictionary (DDIC) objects, including Domain, Data Element, Structures, Tables, Views, Primary and Secondary Indexes, Table Buffering, and Search Helps.

- Enhance DDIC objects, Customer Exits, Business Transaction Events, BADI, and work on Explicit & Implicit Enhancements.

Performance Optimization :

- Perform performance optimization for HANA DB, improving database query efficiency and leveraging HANA-specific capabilities.

- Optimize Open SQL queries and AMDP Views for efficient data retrieval and processing in the SAP HANA environment.

Integration Development :

- Develop and support ALE/EDI/IDOC interfaces to enable seamless communication between SAP systems and external applications.

- Work on JSON/XML interfaces and REST/SOAP-based interfaces (optional but highly valued).

- Develop and manage BRF+ rules and workflows for business process logic.

SAP Fiori/UI5 Development :

- Design, develop, and implement SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.

- Integrate Fiori/UI5 with backend ABAP logic, focusing on user experience and UI consistency.

SAP S/4HANA :

- Understand and work with SAP S/4HANA Extensibility, including In-App and Side-by-Side Extensibility.

- Support S/4HANA conversion projects and manage migration activities.

- Leverage CDS Views and ABAP annotations, working with SQL expressions, aggregations, and advanced join types.

- Define, enhance, and optimize CDS views and AMDP Views.

- Gain experience with SAP S/4HANA landscape and ECC landscape for migration, upgrade, and support projects.

Other Responsibilities :

- Utilize Eclipse Development Environment and ADT tools for efficient development and debugging.

- Actively engage in support projects, providing timely resolutions and enhancements.

- Work on implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

- Collaborate closely with functional teams, understand requirements, and provide technical solutions.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- SAP ABAP expertise, including experience with Classical Reports, ALV Reports, Interactive Reports, and Dynpro Screen Development.

- Strong understanding of DDIC objects (Tables, Views, Indexes, Buffering, Search Helps) and Open SQL.

- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori/UI5 development, and CDS Views.

- Knowledge of HANA DB performance optimization, AMDP Views, and SQL functions.

- Familiarity with BRF+, HANA Proxy Objects, and integration technologies (ALE/EDI/IDOC, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML).

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Extensibility (In-App & Side-by-Side).

- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA conversion, upgrade, and migration projects.

- Proficient in using Eclipse and ADT tools for development in the HANA environment.

- Understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 development, UI/UX principles, and SAP Fiori launchpad integration.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, particularly in the HANA environment.

- Experience working on Agile projects and utilizing Jira or other project management tools.
