Job Description
Ensure sound delivery of technical services to engineering. Support the DevOps team in build and packaging for multiple software projects globally including primarily for software projects fully developed at Pune R&D center.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Make decisions about on-prem & cloud-based hosting and development environments.
- Drive full CI/CD implementation for the products under your responsibility.
- Simplify and communicate complex software deployment architectures.
- Have a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
- Able to work independently and fully hands-on with cutting edge cloud technologies, especially, Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Continuously maintain expertise and information related to system deployment architecture by participating in internal forums and events.
- Write / update / manage the software installers.
- Liaise with other build engineers, development, and support teams, including internal and external customers.
- Manage multiple branches and packaging backlog within SCM system.
- Optimize automated build systems.
- Manage build communication channels including but not limited to documenting build procedures.
- Research, identify , and present solutions for successful task execution.
- Ability to focus on the delivery of quality over quantity.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Qualifications Required : BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Position Requirements - Hands on experience on:

- Experience of build, release and deployment on Microsoft technologies.
- Programming using C#.NET.
- Build tools - MSBuild /Nant/Ant/Maven, etc.
- Basic knowledge of one or more scripting languages including Batch and PowerShell.
- Version control tools - Azure DevOps / GitHub/Git/Bitbucket/ SubVersion , etc.
- Continuous integration /delivery tools - TeamCity/Jenkins/TFS Builds , Azure DevOps , etc.
- Artifact management tools - Nexus/ Jfrog Artifactory, etc.
- Package management tools - Nuget , etc.
- Virtualization planforms/tools - VMWare vCloud Director/VMWare vSphere/ HyperV , etc.
- Experience with high-level scripting skills - VB Script/PowerShell/PowerShell DSC, etc.
- Experience using cloud platforms - Azure/AWS, etc.
- Familiar with SCM technologies like TFS and Git.
- Comfortable with liaising with stakeholders, to resolve issues, whilst also having a proactive attitude to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in SQL as well as NoSQL database technologies.
- Serverless / Azure Container Instances container orchestration.
- Azure SQL Scaling: Dynamic Scaling (vertical, horizontal), tuning, etc.
- Monitoring System (Core, Deep, Infrastructure, Application, Shared).
- Ability to setup CI/CD pipelines both on-prem and in the cloud. Experience with mixed scenarios e.g., CI on-prem CD on the cloud.
- Windows Installer (MSI) technology with application packaging tools - WIX (3.x/4.x), etc.
Preferred:
- Design and development of tools for efficient configuration management, build and release of software developed in open-source technologies, C#.NET, C++, COM, SQL Server databases, web based infrastructure components like IIS/Tomcat.
- Experience using containerization tools - Docker/Kubernetes/Windows Containers, etc.
- Manage Cost vs. Scaling vs. Failover of the Azure Infrastructure.
- FireGiant WIX tool experience.

- Ability to handle high pressure situations & multitasking.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross cultural teams spanning globally
- Open to travel to remote locations nationwide as needed.

- Flexible work schedule to meet demands of position and call-schedule.
