Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Manager to lead the technical operations and

maintenance of properties managed by VAR Facility Management Solutions. This role

requires a deep understanding of engineering systems, strategic thinking, and leadership to

ensure the seamless operation of facilities while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Operations Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of critical engineering systems,

including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, and building

management systems (BMS).

• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure asset

reliability and uptime.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

2. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all operations comply with statutory, safety, and environmental

regulations.

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe and compliant

environment.

3. Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of technicians, supervisors, and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and

operational excellence.

4. Vendor & Contract Management:

• Manage OEMs, AMC partners, and other service providers to ensure timely

and high-quality services.

• Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance through well-defined

SLAs.

5. Budgeting & Resource Optimization:

• Prepare and manage technical budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Optimize resource utilization to enhance efficiency and reduce operational

costs.

6. Technology Integration:

• Drive the adoption of technology and automation to streamline operations and

enhance performance.

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in facility management technology

and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: BE/BTech in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.

• Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in facility management.
• At least 5 years in a technical leadership role.

• Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in managing and maintaining engineering systems, including

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.

• Strong understanding of energy management and sustainability practices.

• Leadership & People Skills:

• Proven ability to lead technical teams and foster collaboration.
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

• Problem-Solving:

• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex

technical issues.

• Technology Savvy:

• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and facility

management software.
