Detailing Engineer - Pune

Must be able to work in any shift (First shift (6 am to 3 Pm) or second shift (1 pm to 10 pm) or any other shift as per business requirement).

Position title: Detailing Engineer

Major Responsibilities:

Process orders for production and customer submittal drawing, consistent with Valmont standard practices.

Ensure drawings are fully checked for accuracy, completeness and adherence to Valmont drafting and design standards before issuing for approval

Maintain required productivity output by departmental priorities

Maintain required order accuracy by departmental priorities

Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude in dealing with all departments of the company

Maintain and update an accurate filing system of customer requirements

Maintain an awareness of current Drafting policies and procedures
Identify, recommend and help implement changes to standard drafting procedures and systems

Handle special assignments as requested by Division Drafting Manager/Drafting Supervisor When necessary, assist all departments in the interpretation of customer specifications, manufacturing capabilities or drafting procedures

Provide technical or drafting support to any department, for any project, which will enhance product or company interest.

Essential Functions:

This position reports to the Division Drafting/Drafting Supervisor and has no direct reports or indirect reports in the initial stage.

Determines changes, corrections, and requirements to meet project demands

Makes sketches for use by other designers/drafters

Interpret specifications and standards and provide information to others to ensure that customer requirement is met or improved

Provide assistance and input on a project basis to other team members in the development of shop drawings

Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations

Requirement profile: (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)

Experience: 2 - 5 Yrs.
Bachelor Engineering (Mechanical) Degree is a must.
Significant experience in the drafting of complex structural steel, sheet metalwork or similar.
Technical skills in computer-aided drafting and basic understanding of mathematics or engineering fundamentals.
Ability to add value to a multi-disciplinary team and to develop and support teamwork.
Excellent organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability and initiative in the identification and development of continuous improvement for new and existing processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to work successfully with Team members.
Preferred experience in sheet metal detailing.

Autodesk Inventor or any 3D software basic level
