Head of Category Medical Devices & Supplies

Role Overview:

As the Head of Category, you will spearhead the development and expansion of our medical devices and supplies vertical. You will be responsible for strategy, category management, supplier relationships, and driving revenue growth. This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Strategy & Planning:
• Define and implement the overall strategy for the medical devices and supplies category.
• Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and market opportunities to expand the product portfolio.

• Vendor & Supplier Management:
• Build strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure competitive advantage.

• Sales & Revenue Growth:
• Set and achieve revenue targets, focusing on profitability and sustainable growth.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive category performance.

• Product Portfolio Development:
• Curate a competitive and comprehensive range of medical devices and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and certifications for all products.

• Market Analysis & Insights:
• Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and pricing trends.
• Use data-driven insights to optimize product offerings and customer experience.

• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to support category growth.
• Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented culture.

• Operational Excellence:
• Oversee supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Implement efficient inventory management and logistics strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in business, healthcare, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

• Experience:
• 8 to 15 years in category management, business development, or product management in medical devices, healthcare supplies, or related industries.
• Strong track record of driving category growth and building supplier networks.

• Skills:
• Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Analytical proficiency with experience in leveraging data for decision-making.
