Job content: Responsible for overall functioning of the Biomedical Engineering Department across units.

Duties:

• Developing and communicating goals and results internally and externally.
• Reviewing periodic progress on set goals and initiatives.
• Selecting, training, supervising and supporting the team.
• Assigning employee responsibilities and maintaining job descriptions.
• Developing performance standards.
• Planning for and providing opportunities for employee advancement and development.
• Assisting the board in formulating policies and providing data needed for decision making.
• Making strategic policy recommendations and innovating methods for successful implementation.
• Planning for annual budget exercise.
