Assistant Manager - Accounts & MIS

Role & responsibilities

Income and Expenditure Review:

• Review actual income and expenditure for the business, including service departments, for the present and previous years.
• Prepare budgeted income and expenditure with team support for the business and service departments.
• Analyze budget vs. actual variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and report findings to management.

Financial Posting and Reporting:

• Verify monthly income and expenditure postings to ensure accurate recording in appropriate journals and ledgers.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly ledger postings under appropriate heads of accounts.
• Prepare reports on effective utilization of funds and identify any idle funds.

Cost Analysis and Inventory Management:

• Develop cost standards for materials, labor, and overheads.
• Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Train and supervise staff on cost valuations and inventory accounting.
• Design and implement cost accounting systems while overseeing physical inventory.

Aging Analysis and Stock Evaluation:

• Prepare monthly debtors aging reports with detailed analysis.
• Prepare inventory aging reports and provide analysis on non-moving and slow-moving stock.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA Semi-Qualified with 35 years of experience or MBA with 10 years of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must).
• Mandatory experience with ERP systems.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
