Robotic Automation JAVA Programmer (QA or s/w tester need not apply)

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain enterprise grade applications, which includes use of new technologies and maintain legacy applications.
• Key participant in developing the concepts of new, automated test equipment and modifications/modernization of existing equipment for quality and productivity improvements.
• Design, develop and implement the software process flows based on proposed concepts and machine layout.
• Develop applications which integrate software and electrical-mechanical parts of automation systems.
• Provide technical solutions to problems during operation.
• Provide technical support to any existing machine automation software.
• Modernize legacy application written in Delphi to a Java based application using latest tools and technology.
• Experience in developing software which is secure and using SAST and DAST tools.
• Good understanding and experience of using DevSecOps: Git/SCM, Build tools, Configuration Management and Deployment Management.
• Experience in developing Automation Tests for Desktop based Machine automation software.
• Develop and maintain the necessary documentation, which includes Requirements documentation, Architecture/Design documentation and Test Cases.
• Ability to understand legacy application code with minimum documentation and maintain and support such applications.
• To work in accordance with all company procedures.
• Any other job-related activity as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Preferred candidate profile

Machine Automation Software Engineer, the primary role is to architect/design, develop and maintain electro-mechanical systems (Robotics) for automated manufacturing processes using Java based tools and technologies

• 5 years of working Experience in Java. Java certification is recommended.
• Experience in Java Native Interface programming.
• Experience in UI programming using Java/FX.
• Proficient in system programming with C++. Delphi programming is a plus.
• Experience with computer vision automation design is strongly desired.
• At least 4 years working experience developing computer-controlled automation software
