Commis Chef

Job Summary:

As a Commis Chef, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. You will maintain high kitchen hygiene standards, ensure efficient workstation management, and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills, gain hands-on experience, and grow within the kitchen hierarchy.

Job Description:

• Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning food.
• Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared safely.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized at all times.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
• Adhere to food hygiene regulations and health & safety policies.
• Follow proper procedures for food storage, stock rotation, and waste management.
• Work closely with senior chefs to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Be a team player, assisting in various tasks as required during busy service hours.
