Placement Officer

Role & responsibilities

1. Industry Partnerships & Employer Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with recruiters, corporates, and industry partners.
• Collaborate with HR teams in multiple companies to identify internship and placement opportunities for students.
• Arrange campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and employer networking events.

2. Placement Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and implement an annual placement plan to ensure high student placement rates.
• Identify industry trends and in-demand job roles to align student training and job opportunities.
• Organize mock interviews, aptitude tests, and placement preparation workshops.

3. Student Support:

• Guide students on career options, resume building, and interview techniques.
• Track student performance during internships and placements to ensure employer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback to academic teams for continuous improvement in training programs.

4. Data Management & Reporting:

• Maintain a placement database, including employer contacts, student placement details, and follow-up reports.
• Provide periodic reports on placement success rates and industry partnerships.

5. Collaboration with Academic Teams:

• Coordinate with academic team to ensure students meet industry standards in professional and soft skills as requested by the Employer networks
• Suggest updates to curriculum based on industry feedback and hiring requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
• Experience: 2-4 years in placement coordination, corporate relations, or career counselling.
• Strong networking and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and database management.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Willing to travel for employment purpose.
