Job Overview:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all real estate development projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. The role involves creating and implementing quality assurance & quality control processes, performing inspections, managing audits, and collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This position is critical to maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in construction and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control Systems:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) aligned with industry standards.
2. Establish quality control procedures to ensure all construction activities meet regulatory requirements and internal benchmarks.
3. Design and implement quality assurance plans, ensuring all construction materials and techniques meet the required specifications.
2. Project Inspections and Audits:
1. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction work adheres to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
2. Manage internal and external quality audits, addressing any non-conformance issues and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
3. Review architectural, engineering, and construction documents to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
1. Work closely with construction managers, engineers, and contractors to align project execution with quality standards.
2. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
4. Continuous Improvement:
1. Promote a culture of quality within the organization by leading training programs for staff on quality control standards and best practices.
2. Analyse project performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement new quality control measures as necessary.
3. Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in quality management and implementation of the same on projects.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, audits, and test results.
2. Ensure proper documentation of quality control processes, materials, and equipment used during project execution.
3. Provide regular updates to the executive team on the status of ongoing projects with respect to quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 18-20 years of experience in quality management within the construction or real estate development industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office Suite.
