Role Overview Description
Role/Responsibilities:

• • Building and up-managing cloud and hosted infrastructure
• • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• • Ensuring that systems follow best industry standards and practices for performance and security
• • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• • Provides direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs
• • Participates in architecture and software development activities
• • Uses coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow
• • Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem

Requirement:

• • 4+ year of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• • Proficient with git and git workflows
• • Good knowledge of programming languages
• • Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
• • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• • Problem-solving attitude
• • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
• • BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or an equivalent area of technical study
• • Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes
• • Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins
• • Significant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments
• • Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as Terraform or Pulumi

Nice to Have:

• • OpenStack experience will be considered a strong advantage.
