Position: Senior Manager Engineering Operation
Department: Operation
Location: Delhi / Guwahati


Job Overview:

Senior Manager Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations within UDS for North India / Guwahati. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering. The Senior Manager will ensure that all engineering activities align with the company's standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role involves managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and payment collections.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Operations Management:

    • Lead and manage all electrical and mechanical engineering activities at Multiple Sites.
    • Ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and safety of all engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of operation and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

2. Service Level Agreements (SLA) Management:

    • Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs for all engineering services provided.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations, and tailor engineering services accordingly.
    • Proactively identify potential risks to SLA compliance and implement mitigation strategies.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Management:

    • Develop and implement KPIs to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations.
    • Regularly review and analyze KPI data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
    • Report on KPI performance to senior management and recommend actions to enhance service delivery.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the engineering team.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

5. Budgeting and Financial Management:

    • Oversee the procurement of engineering materials and services, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
    • Ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of payments from Sites .

6. Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding engineering-related issues and inquiries.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction with engineering services.
    • Address and resolve client concerns promptly and effectively.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure that all engineering operations comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards and adjust operations accordingly.
    • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies as needed.

8. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the engineering department.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service delivery.
    • Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency and sustainability within multiple sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience from Facility Industry must .
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within facility management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and other building systems.
  • Proven experience in managing SLAs, KPIs, and payment collections.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • The role may require working outside regular business hours to address emergencies or conduct Site Survey / Inspection / Audits .
