WordPress Developer (4-6 yrs)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, as well as developing custom themes and plugins. You should have a passion for modern web technologies, clean code, and high-quality user experiences.

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the plugins, and custom functionalities. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, SEO specialists, and project managers, to deliver well-optimized, high-performing websites for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.

- Design and implement new website features and functionality.

- Customize WordPress themes to meet client specifications.

- Build responsive, mobile-first websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.

- Implement third-party APIs and integrate services with WordPress (REST API, etc.).

- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues across WordPress websites.

- Ensure high performance and availability of WordPress sites.

- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to enhance the user experience.

- Maintain the integrity and structure of databases using MySQL.

- Manage all aspects of the CMS, including updates, backups, and security.

- Work with modern version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) for tracking code changes and collaboration.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in WordPress development and related technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency in PHP with strong experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.

- Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery for front-end development.

- Experience working with RESTful APIs and the WordPress REST API.

- Solid understanding of MySQL databases and the ability to write efficient queries.

- Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control and collaboration.

- Understanding of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization techniques.

- Experience with cPanel, Apache/Nginx environments.

- Experience with WP-CLI for command-line management of WordPress sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with Docker for managing development environments.

- Experience working with SEO tools and plugins.

- Knowledge of page builders such as Elementor

- Familiarity with WooCommerce and Shopify for eCommerce development and customization.
