Job overview and responsibilities

As an Engineering Performance Test Manager of Information Technology at United Airlines, you will be responsible for day-to-day supervision and direction of Performance Test Engineers (employee + vendors) roles across multiple cross-functional areas.

In this role, you will lead performance testing efforts on multiple projects and/or a large program that consists of multiple testing tracks from planning and execution to defect resolution and release deployments. You will also drive a culture of continuous testing with DevOps, quality with shorter cycle time, best practices, standards, and continuous improvements.

• Lead and mentor a team of performance test engineers, ensuring optimal performance of complex end to end systems including n-tier applications hosted in cloud and on-prem.
• Develop and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies aligned with business objectives across United EQE supported applications.
• Collaborate closely and regularly with application development, production operation and product teams to ensure system performance is a top priority and performance testing is included and executed before production deployments.
• Develop and share meaningful, clear, and concise performance reports including key risks, metrics, and recommendations.
• Explore and implement new performance testing tools that drive value, efficiency, and agility to deliver faster.

Required 

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

·       AWS Cloud Practitioner

·       ISTQB® Performance Testing (CT-PT).

·       8+ years of Software Testing

·       5+ years of management

·       Thorough knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.

·       Proficient in using performance testing tools – LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, others.

·       Proficient in using application monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics.

·       Agile, Waterfall and Scaled Agile.

·       Performance Continuous testing with DevOps CI/CD.

·       Solid understanding of test environment and release management concepts.

·       Exposure to Cloud Technologies.

·       Solid relationship and collaboration skills.
