Job overview and responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and systems to support our growing data needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and business growth.

Responsibilities :

Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources.
Architect and implement data warehouse solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Mentor and coach junior members of the data engineering team, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical solutions.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Implement data governance policies and security measures to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance our data infrastructure and support evolving business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processes, reduce latency, and improve overall efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.

Requirements :

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a focus on building data pipelines and ETL processes.
Expertise in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Extensive experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and dimensional modeling principles.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize performance.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive consensus on technical decisions.

Qualifications

Required :

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field
Information Technology, Computer Engineering
5+ years of experience in data engineering
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship.
Must be fluent in English.
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
