Project Manager

Role & responsibilities :

• Understand and interpret engineering and structural drawings and prepare a project execution master plan with materials cost, labour deployment strategy/cost and time bound milestones
• Based on the above prepare a material requirement plan (which will determine the cash flow requirement) along with execution plan with checklists for monitoring and control
• Brief team about their responsibilities and review parameters. Monitor and guide the team members based on this to improve productivity
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to The Director to appraise of the progress of any project
• Solve all men, material, resources related challenge which are commonly encountered in construction management
• Achieve project completion as per time, budget and quality parameters
• Attract quality manpower to work for UPPL and ensure that good quality manpower do not quit UPPL
• Vendor development and management for continuous cost reduction

Preferred candidate profile :

• Male, Age 35 +/-
• Minimum Qualification- B-Tech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum Work Experience- 10 years out of which at least 3 years as Site-In-Charge or Project Manager in real estate construction sites
• Fluent in Bengali and Hindi. Fluency in English will be an added advantage
• Proficient in studying engineering and structural drawings
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Experience of working in an ERP/SAP environment will be an added advantage
• Family structure and location should support 24 x 7 working conditions with no leave over the weekends
• Effective communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Organized working style which includes the use of PERT/CPM for project management
• Team management abilities including spot decision making courage for improving team productivity
• Task oriented with developed interpersonal skills for inter-departmental coordination and cooperation
