Area Sales Manager

Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts in the rare/genetic diseases division within the diagnostic sales industry. The ASM will engage with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, diagnostic laboratories, and hospitals to promote and sell diagnostic products, solutions, and services related to rare and genetic diseases. This role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to increase product adoption, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve sales targets within a designated geographic area

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement a sales strategy for the rare/genetic diseases portfolio to drive revenue growth within the assigned region.
• Promote and sell diagnostic tests, equipment, and solutions related to rare and genetic diseases to healthcare providers, diagnostic labs, and medical institutions.
• Identify key accounts, decision-makers, and influencers within hospitals, clinics, and genetic testing centers.
• Build long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the rare disease community to increase brand loyalty and penetration.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify trends and opportunities within the rare/genetic disease diagnostics market.
• Monitor customer needs and identify emerging trends in genetic testing, diagnostics, and treatment options.
• Leverage market data and insights to identify high-priority opportunities and formulate action plans.
• Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for the region, ensuring profitable growth.
• Regularly review sales performance, pipeline development, and conversion rates, adjusting strategies to meet or exceed objectives.
