General Manager Procurement

Responsibilities

• Formulate effective long-term strategies for procurement functions that align with the organizational goal.
• Lead procurement teams of various categories for Formulation business ( API, Excipients, Packing materials) & API business ( Intermediates, Chemicals & Solvents)
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement operations.
• Create a Global Supply Ecosystem with an alternate vendor development strategies and risk management.
• Ensure effective implementation of strategic sourcing and vendor development initiatives for the advanced market businesses.
• Cost reduction through the new vendor development and effective negotiations
• Liaising and supporting the regulatory team on DMF filings.
• Responsible for surplus inventory liquidation.

Desired Skills

• Hands-on experience in handling direct procurement in a reputed pharmaceutical organization.
• In-depth Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Must have strong experience in SAP environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and team management skills.
• Ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
• Should hold high standards of business ethics.
