Packaging Development

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Design & Development:

• Lead the design and development of packaging solutions for Unibic product lines, including cookies, biscuits, and other bakery products.
• Ensure all packaging designs maintain product integrity, safety, and quality while enhancing shelf appeal.
• Work closely with marketing and product development teams to translate brand strategies into effective packaging concepts.

Project Management:

• Manage packaging development projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production, and Marketing) for seamless project execution.
• Track project progress and report updates to senior management.

Material & Supplier Management:

• Evaluate and select suitable materials (films, laminates, cartons, etc.) to meet product and packaging requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and conduct trials to validate new packaging solutions.
• Negotiate with vendors for cost optimization and manage quality compliance.

Sustainability & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory standards specific to food packaging.
• Keep abreast of global food packaging trends and best practices,

integrating them into Unibic packaging strategies.

Packaging Testing & Validation:

• Conduct packaging stability testing, shelf-life studies, and transportation trials to ensure packaging durability and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues in production and distribution.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and specifications for all packaging components.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

• Identify opportunities for packaging improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Benchmark against competitors and explore innovative technologies to improve packaging quality and functionality.
• Lead initiatives to enhance the consumer experience through innovative packaging designs.
• Liaison with the marketing team to ensure packaging is updated with legal frameworks and requirements.
