Within dentsu Engineering, Architecture, and Innovation function, Platform Engineering (PE) plays a key role in shaping our technology strategy and enhancing operational efficiency. PE provides

critical products, services, frameworks, and tools that enable development teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure applications for both internal teams and clients.

PE is composed of DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, and Application Support teams, working together to position the department as a Centre of Excellence. By sharing knowledge and delivering

world-class products and services, we continually raise the bar for engineering standards across our global business.

The PE DevOps function encompasses both Automated Environment Management (infrastructure) and CI/CD tooling teams, delivering critical infrastructure and tooling to the organisation. We follow a Kanban approach, focusing on continuous delivery and flow-based work management. This allows us to dynamically prioritise tasks, limit work-in-progress, and ensure smooth, uninterrupted deliverymoving beyond the fixed sprint cycles typical of Scrum.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior DevOps Product Owner, you will support the DevOps Product Lead and key business stakeholders to ensure smooth, value-driven delivery of DevOps products and solutions. Your

responsibilities will include:

Product Ownership & Delivery:

Define and contribute to product and project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy.

Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

Manage and continuously update the product backlog, ensuring that tasks are prioritised effectively to maximise value and meet evolving business needs.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth and timely delivery of high-priority work items.

Collaboration & Feedback:

Engage directly with users and product audiences to gather feedback and ensure solutions align with their needs and deliver the desired outcomes.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps solutions meet operational, scalability, and security standards.

Technical Oversight & Improvement:

Track and report on key metrics, such as lead time, cycle time, and throughput, to assess team performance and product effectiveness.

Stay informed on the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices, conducting market research to continuously improve our products and processes.

Team & Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate on roadmap planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to support the continuous delivery of DevOps projects.

Help team members grow by fostering an environment where they can reach their full potential while ensuring their well-being and happiness.

Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, promoting clear communication and alignment.

Technical Skills:

Experience in product or engineering management within complex, technical environments.

Previous experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with hands-on exposure to DevOps practices.

Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies, pipeline tooling, and automation practices.

Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure provisioning, management, and monitoring (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Experience with modern software engineering practices and principles.

Experience:

Experience working in organizations with a strong software engineering ethos, preferably across multiple industries such as Financial Services, Media, Retail, or eCommerce.

Demonstrated ability to define and priorities technical product initiatives in complex architectural environments.

Experience translating stakeholder needs into technical product requirements that drive engineering solutions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.
