Manager - Quality Assurance (QA)

Role & responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers/testers, ensuring continuous skill development and motivation.
• Manage resource allocation, performance reviews, and team dynamics.

Quality Assurance Strategy:

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to define quality metrics and KPIs.

Test Planning and Execution:

• Oversee the creation of comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for various projects.
• Ensure timely execution of functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. • Defect Management:
• Establish a defect lifecycle process, ensuring effective reporting, tracking, and resolution of issues.
• Perform root cause analysis to improve overall product quality.

Tool and Process Optimization:

• Identify and implement tools to enhance test automation and QA workflows.
• Continuously improve the testing framework to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related matters.
• Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to stakeholders on QA progress and quality metrics

Preferred candidate profile

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a lead role.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of QA tools (e.g., Selenium, TOSCA, JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) is preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
