Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and expand market share within a designated territory. This role requires a highly experienced and results-oriented individual with a minimum of 8 years of proven success in B2B sales within the FMCG and Beverages industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales representatives.
    • Set individual and team sales targets and track performance.
    • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to the sales team.
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales representatives as needed.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key B2B customers (e.g., hotels, restaurants, cafes, offices).
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key B2B customers.
    • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Territory Management:
    • Effectively manage assigned territory, ensuring optimal coverage and customer service.
    • Monitor market trends and competitive activities within the territory.
    • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows (as required).
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the B2B segment.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new target markets.
    • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new B2B customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in B2B sales within the FMCG and Beverages industry.
  • Strong leadership, management, and mentorship skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of the FMCG and Beverages industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
