Salesforce Test Architect (9-12 yrs)

Role Overview :

The Salesforce Test Architect will design and lead the implementation of an end-to-end Salesforce Test Automation Strategy, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage, optimized processes, and enhanced quality.

This role will also play a crucial part in presales activities, offering Testing as a Service (TaaS) to potential clients and clearly demonstrating ROI to stakeholders. Additionally, the Salesforce Test Architect will develop and implement an effective Test Data Management (TDM) strategy tailored for Salesforce, addressing the unique challenges of data consistency, security, and scalability within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Salesforce Test Automation Strategy :

Strategy Design and Implementation :

- Create a robust Salesforce Test Automation Strategy that includes functional, regression, performance, and security testing. Oversee its implementation across customer environments, ensuring best practices and quality standards.

- Framework Development : Build and maintain a scalable automation framework using Salesforce-compatible testing tools to enable quick and efficient test case development.

Test Data Management (TDM) :

Design and Implementation : Develop and implement a Test Data Management strategy specifically tailored to Salesforce. Ensure it supports automated testing scenarios while maintaining data integrity, relevance, and security.

Data Compliance and Security : Manage data anonymization and other security protocols within the TDM strategy to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Presales Engagement with TaaS Offering :

TaaS Expertise : Provide expertise on CloudFulcrum's Testing as a Service (TaaS) offerings in presales engagements. Communicate the benefits, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiencies of automated testing for Salesforce environments.

ROI Focus : Showcase potential ROI from testing automation, using metrics and projections that demonstrate value to clients. Present case studies and real-world examples to reinforce the benefits of TaaS.

Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor the Salesforce testing team, driving a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement across all Salesforce testing activities.

Client Collaboration :

- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their Salesforce testing needs, recommend the most effective testing approaches, and ensure satisfaction with the delivered solutions.

Process Optimization :

- Continuously enhance Salesforce testing processes, tools, and methodologies, ensuring that automation efforts are optimized for efficiency and scalability across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Stakeholder Communication :

- Communicate Salesforce testing strategies, plans, and results to stakeholders, focusing on delivering measurable value and return on investment in the Salesforce landscape.

Qualifications :

- Educational Background : Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Salesforce Testing Experience : Minimum of 10 years in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce testing automation and QA leadership.

- Technical Proficiency in Salesforce Tools : Extensive experience with Salesforce-specific automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Provar, Selenium with Salesforce, Copado Robotic Testing). Familiarity with Salesforce deployment and version control tools (such as Copado or Gearset) is a plus.

- Automation Capability Building : Proven experience in building and scaling test automation capabilities within Salesforce environments, including the development of automation frameworks and the integration of testing tools into CI/CD pipelines.

- Testing Strategy Development : Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive testing strategies that encompass functional, regression, performance, and security testing tailored to Salesforce applications.

- Automation ROI Expertise : Demonstrated ability to present the business value of testing automation specific to Salesforce environments, including measurable ROI, efficiency gains, and improved release quality.

Leadership Skills :

- Proven ability to lead and mentor testing teams, manage projects, and collaborate with cross-functional Salesforce DevOps and implementation teams.

Communication Skills :

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex Salesforce testing concepts to diverse audiences.

Client Engagement :

- Prior experience in presales and client-facing roles, especially in Salesforce automation migration, is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications : Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, as well as ISTQB Test Manager or similar.

- Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, metadata structure, and the Salesforce SDLC.
