Role Overview:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk and Controls Analyst to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong risk and controls mindset, process mapping expertise, and the ability to confidently question and challenge existing practices.
- This role will focus on assessing current processes, envisioning future states, and identifying opportunities for control automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:.
Risk and Controls Management:.
- Develop and maintain a strong risk and controls framework for payments processes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks by implementing robust controls.
- Conduct control assessments to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
Process Mapping and Review:.
- Map current payment processes and define future-state processes for improved efficiency.
- Review and enhance process maps, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify key control points and recommend automation opportunities.
Control Automation:.
- Analyze manual controls and propose strategies for automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automated control mechanisms.
Critical Thinking and Analysis:.
- Confidently question and challenge existing processes and assumptions.
- Provide actionable recommendations to address gaps and inefficiencies.
Data Literacy:.
- Utilize tools such as Excel, Visio, and other process mapping software to analyze and present data effectively.
- Interpret data insights to inform decision-making and process enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement:.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:.
- Strong understanding of payments processes and controls.
- Expertise in process mapping tools (e. , Visio) and proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a key eye for identifying control points.
- Ability to confidently question, challenge, and propose solutions.
- Experience in control assessments and automation initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
