StuCred - Financial Data Analyst (4-6 yrs)

What would you do ?

- You will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions.

- Looking for Data Analyst role with 4 to 6 years of experience in the field of Finance with proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel etc.

- You should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics.

- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and understanding of the world of finance is critical.

- Knowledge of any visualization tool such as Power Bi or Tableau is a must.

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Work closely with business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making.

- Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, extract data to supply tailored reports to colleagues, customers, or the wider organization.

- Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to solve problems.

- Create clear reports that tell compelling stories about how customers or clients work with the business.

- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.

- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.

- Well versed with techniques such as classification, Regression, SVM, Time series analysis, Decision trees etc.

- Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods.

- Horizon scan to stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques, and methods.

- Conduct research to develop prototypes and proof of concepts.

- Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organization.

What are we looking for?

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

- Battle-tested experience as a financial data analyst, ideally in fintech or financial services.

- Tech-savvy with expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages (e. , Excel, SQL, Python, R, Mango DB) and data visualization tools like Power BI

- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

- Stellar communication skills to convey complex financial concepts in a digestible manner.
