API Testing Expertise (Critical Need)

Must have strong experience in API testing.
Should understand how APIs function in relation to the UI (how data flows from the UI to the API).
Recent submissions have been more UI-focused and lack backend visibility, so this hire must bridge that gap.
Example: The application must communicate with the backend via API before approvalthere are 18 APIs involved in the process.
Basic Data & SQL Knowledge
Candidate should have a fundamental understanding of data flows and how information moves within the system. Need to have ETL experience.
Should be able to write basic SQL queries to validate data. Preferred Tools & Technologies:
API Testing Tools: ReadyAPI (preferred) or Postman (acceptable).
SQL: Ability to write queries for data validation.
ETL exposure
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong API testing experience (UI testing can be learned).
Able to analyze backend processes and understand how data flows through APIs.
Comfortable writing and executing SQL queries.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team currently lacking backend API expertise
Example: Understanding how the data populates, then running queries to verify it.
UI Testing (Nice to Have, Can Be Learned)

UI testing experience is not a primary requirement since API testing is the focus.
The hiring manager believes a candidate strong in API testing can easily learn UI testing on the job.
