Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Manual Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing methodologies with basic scripting knowledge in Python and experience in REST API testing.

This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by conducting comprehensive test planning, execution, and defect tracking.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing on web and API-based applications.

- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans to ensure software quality.

- Work closely with the development and product teams to identify and resolve defects.

- Perform REST API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Curl.

- Write basic test scripts in Python for test automation or data validation.

- Identify, document, and track defects in bug-tracking tools like JIRA.

- Ensure test coverage for business and technical requirements.

- Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospective meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-8 years of experience in manual testing for web and API applications.

- Basic scripting knowledge in Python for simple automation or validation tasks.

- Experience in REST API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or RestAssured.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and testing processes.

- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
