Job Description:

The scope of this role includes:

- Ensuring timely and accurate closure of books of accounts and statutory audits.

- Compliance with laws and regulations.

- Establishing a robust financial control system.

- Business planning and tracking actuals vs. budgets.

- Supporting business goals by optimizing the cost of billable resources and minimizing bench costs.

- Treasury operations to optimize returns on surplus funds and manage working capital.

- You will collaborate with the Head of Services, Finance, Customers, and Partners to achieve these objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions, including implementation of automation projects.

- Conduct reviews to ensure reporting accuracy and drive digital adoption.

- Interact with auditors and complete quarterly and annual accounts.

- Prepare reports for board reporting.

- Ensure statutory compliance with fiscal statutes (Direct/Indirect taxation, RBI regulations, etc.

- Effective tax planning and management.

- Manage funds to optimize returns and working capital.

- Track and monitor budget vs. actual performance, report variances, and enforce corrective actions.

- Publish MIS reports in a time-bound manner.

- Implement systems for account-level P&L measurement for large clients.

- Support business in pricing decisions and contract negotiations.

- Analyze and benchmark financial metrics against competitors.

- Perform project-wise/company-level FTE analysis to optimize resource utilization and reduce bench costs.

- Optimize and ensure adequate insurance coverage.

- Assess M&A opportunities, participate in due diligence, and assist in negotiations.

- Drive cost reduction and profit improvement initiatives.

- Support people development and M&A/investment-related activities.

- Assist in preparing MBR and board materials/management reports.

- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements across entities.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

- CA/MBA in Finance or a relevant degree in Finance with 15+ years of experience, including as a finance head in mid-sized IT companies.

- Strong commercial knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and fiscal laws.

- Proficiency in SAP and experience across various accounting functions.

- At least 3 years of experience in tech/services start-ups (Products & Services) growing at ~2-3x Y/Y.

- Willingness to travel.
